| Our client a Logistics Company and are in existence for more than 50 years and India's leading provider of integrated solutions for the multi-modal logistics of bulk and containerized cargo across road, rail, port and sea. They are looking for a senior position at the level of DGM / GM for their Road Logistics Operation positioned at Chennai.
The JD for the position is as follows:
The candidate should be from a Road Logistics Industry dealing with movement of bulk materials including liquids with at least 12-15 years in a trucking based organization, handling own fleet and as well market vehicles for movement of bulk materials. He should be Graduate and post graduate degree / diploma in Management and Logistics would be an added advantage. Age around: 35 to 40 years.
The job profile is as follows:
Management of own fleet in terms of operational efficiency.
Management of fleet workshop including spares management for own vehicles.
Knowledge of Market hired vehicles and its operation.
Vendor Management / Brokers Management for hiring vehicles and driver agencies
Daily indent vs Market placement analysis.
New business route survey
Vehicle attachment
Handling of accident / missing vehicles and pilferage en-route.
Compensation is not a constraint for the right candidate and will be on par with Industry standards.
