Our client,   a leading engineering, procurement, construction and installation ("EPCI") company focused on executing complex offshore oil and gas projects worldwide.  They provide  integrated EPCI services for upstream field developments, and deliver fixed and floating production facilities, pipelines and subsea systems from concept to commissioning. They  have the following requirement for Chennai Lead Safety Engineer  - Chennai Experience: Should have minimum of 12 to 15 years experience in the Oil and Gas Industry in the area of Design Safety / Loss prevention (design), out which he should have a minimum of 5 years experience as Lead Safety engineer in the area of design safety for offshore platforms. Job Responsibilities: The candidate should possess significant knowledge of Design Safety engineering for offshore oil and gas platforms. Experience should include safety design of fire water systems, development of safety philosophies, preparation of data sheets for firefighting equipments and safety equipments, preparation of fire and gas detection layouts and fire and gas cause, development of Hazardous area classification drawings / schedules, preparation of fire and gas detection layouts and knowledge in performing Hydraulic calculations. and effects. Candidate should also have experience in risk management and coordination of Safety / HSE studies like Quantitative risk assessments, HAZID, Fire and explosion analysis, dropped object studies etc., for the offshore platforms.
